salt mixes

Just had an interesting conversation at the LFS.as I was Buying my Instant Ocean salt mix.The Fellow behind the counter tried to sell me some crystal Sea salt mix.Anyone ever used this? he said that the IO salt mix has some kind of additive that make it dissolve relly quick and that this component cause trace elements to bind up. Any one evr used this mix or headrd of this info?

Never heard that before. I use Oceanic personally but that's news to me about IO.

The resident chemist here (Dr. Farley) uses IO. Apparently he isn't too concerned (or aware) of any binding of trace elements.
