Return Pump - cool, quiet and strong?
Looking to get a cool, enery efficient, quiet and strong RETUN pump for 180 G SPS predominant reef. The pump wont be submerged. This will be the only pump for the two returns on a Y divider.
What are you guys using or recommend?

I have heard that one of the primary owners of Iwaki left and started Blue line pumps. They are identical to the Iwaki and less money. I have a Blue line 20HD for my return on my 90 and I love it! Amazingly quiet and it doesn't seem to mind being toned down via a ball valve. Runs cool. Just my opinion. Keep looking around. Good luck

The ultimate would be Red Dragon, but you're looking at about half a grand at least for one of those bad boys, if you could even locate one to buy. But if price WERE no limit...

I have always had great luck with Iwaki, one of my Iwakis has ran non-stop for 6 years now, never any problems and only gets cleaned once a year
