Do U clean you're sump???
Hi everyone, I have had my tank run for about 7 months, and all is well in my sub-merged kingdom.
I clean my skimmer every 2 months, clean all the pumps every 6 moths. have a 100 micron filter sock with carbon which is changed every 3-4 days. But do you think I should clean my sump? Does anyone in here ever cleaned his sump? |

I run my sump as a fuge as well as a place for my skimmer so I may not be the best to answer your question.... I would think that unless you're using the sump as a fuge also, you'd need to vacume out the dutritus that will accumulate in the bottom of said sump....
I personally don't clean mine but my sump is rather small ( a converted wet/dry ) so I don't have any accumulation of dutritus...80% of my sump is fuge with a huge chunk of cheato growing in it as well as Live Sand and LR..... Bob |
