Starfish Fromia species?

Was curious if anyone had any experiences with the Fromia species of starfish commonly called the Marble Starfish. Just curious what people thought of them as a reef inhabitant.

I'm curious in a Fromia monilis as well. Just concerned about getting a healthy one and it making it through shipping.

here's a shot with my fromia monilis in the background

he's quite hardy..always moving around....not nearly as 'fragile' as linckias...so they're a good beginner starfish

Did you order it online or pick it up locally?

If online, can you tell me where?

I have a lot of experineces with Fromia.

They are reef safe, but there is not proper diet for those starfishes in aquarium and all died after one year in the aquarium.

Fromia are very very problematic. Most of them live only one year in the aquarium.

Is it possible to keep Linckia laevigata more than 2 years. Some aquarists have success with this starfish, other not.

I had more than 5 Fromia indica and also Fromia monolis. All died approximately after one year in the aquarium. I like very much Fromia, but I am not able to keep this starfishes on the long term.
