MH and T-5 questions

Just a quick question. With a standard 75 gallon tank would putting 2x400 on there be way to much. I'm debating between them and 2x250.

Also do 2 T-5 54 watt bulbs produce more light than 2 110 watt VHO's

I think 250 is enough. 400w are ove kill IMHO

I'm also in the same delima as you are between T5 and VHO

I do however, have 1 38w T5 actinic with 2 x 250w 10k and it's not doing anything. I ordered a retro with SLR with 2x T5 HO already should have it next week will let you know the outcome.

I decided to buy T5 first is their effiency, less wattage and last longer. But I think if I did 2x VHO sup, I'll get better result which will be my next step if I don't get the coloration that I like. SO 2xVHO and 3x T5HO all will be supliment.
