Water Test Parameters
I did a water test and these are the parameters.
SG - 1.024 Phosphate - 0 Nitrate - 0 Nitrite - 0 Temp - 80 F Ca - 480mg/L Alk - 5.0 Meq/l MG - 1050 Ammonia - 0 I have a 75 gallon Reef tank. Are these parameters good? What can i do to fix them. I also did a water change a week ago. 18 gallon change. Last edited by daniel5455; 02/05/2006 at 10:17 PM. |

The SG is a little low, IMO. I target 1.026. The alkalinity is fairly high, 4.0 meq/L is a good upper bound, IMO. Mg is a little low, 1275 ppm or so being good. Calcium is a bit high, too. This article goes into all the water parameters we usually measure:
