for what its worth i just did a little searching for some info on shrimp molting and the role iodine plays in it and came across a commercial shrimp feed and supplement supplier with a ton of products devoted too molting and none of them list iodine.

I'm not saying that there's no iodine in the products, or that shrimp don't use iodine but i don't think its a major limiting factor and that it can do more harm then good.
