sump flow ???
Hello guys have a question, On my tank I have a standard 3 chamber sump/refugium in the middle. I'm running a 1000 gallons per hour through it and the water in the rufugium part and the 3rd chamber....well I know they are moving but the water seems very still on the top parts of these. Do you guys rum powerheads or anything in these to move the water around ?

1000GPH is a huge amoun t of flow through a fuge. What is the actual capacity of the fuge itself?
LxWxH/231 = Liquid Volume. The preferred flow through a fuge is 3 - 5x the size of the fuge. For example a 100 gallon fuge would have anywhere from 300 to 500GPH going through it. As far as surface agitation in a sump, I don't find it necessary.
