harvest of recoridea mushrooms

I was wondering how to correctly harves recordea mushrooms? I have been cutting them below the head and quartering the head. Is that the the correct way?

I posted a ricordia fragging idea under the Coral Propagation forum. This is the method that has worked well for me.
