whats the proper/ideal salinty for a reef tank using a refractometer?
just want a vote! I keep mine at 1.024-1.025.

no just got a refractometer and found it to be at 1.024..and a half anyways im wondering if fluxes in either direction would it be bad for sps?

AFAIK NSW is 35ppm salinity. This is what I keep my tank at, it's between 1.025-1.206 on the refractometer.

I usually shoot for 1.025 or slightly above on my refractometer, mainly because it's a wider line and easier to match up than the intermediate levels.

Damn floating plastic arm. I can never tell when i really am. Well im pickin up a pinpoint salinitt meter tomorrow then i can find out wher my tanks really been for the last year.

WELL I THINK IM GONNA STICK WITH 1.024 AND A HALF FOR NOW. EVERYTHING IS DOING FINE SO WHY CHANGE IT. RIGHT?
