vacation help
i'll be away for 7 days. i've got someone that can feed 2x a day and keep water level topped off. BUT, i don't want to complicate or put demands on this person, who could care less about my tank.
My question is, will my system be ok without Calcium supplementation for the 7 days? Should i try and beef up my levels before I go, or just let it be and rebound when i return? thanks

It will be fine for that short amount of time. I think I would even just have the person feed it once every other day. That way there is a much less chance of them screwing something up. Oh and no, your fish will not starve.

I agree, I had someone come every other day when I was in Australia for 17 days, and everything was fine. You can add additional additives either ahead of time or after you get back if necessary.

It's my girlfriend's sister, who lives with us. While my GF loves the tank, her sister is a little better than indifferent. Before I put clowns in it, she didn't look twice at it.
That being said. Do you think cutting down on the feeding will cut down on the cleaning i'll have to do when i get back? or should i just keep the same schedule as long as she's going to be there anyway?
