Live rock HELP.
Is it okay to cycle a tank with bleached live rock? I didn't use actual bleach on them - they just have some white areas on them. The other areas have coralline algae. Also, is it okay to cycle a tank with sand and live rock or just the live rock? Thanks.

The sand wont help cycle the tank, the rock will do that. It is fine to have both during a cycle.

Thanks for the replies. I knew the sand wouldn't be benefical. As long as it is not hurting anything, I'm going to add it.
