Is it possible for me to hook this device 20' across the room. My RO water container is 20' from my tank. Thanks

If the pump can actually pump that far, which I dont think it can. its only a small dc pump. the wires for the sensors arent long enough. the sensor in the sump to the controller, to the pump at max are like 8-10ft.

Can you move the ro container closer to the tank: you can pump ro water a long distance out of an ro/di, if possible that would be the best solution.

Hi,

yes you can, I'm running mine about that same length and only at 9v, don't under estimate that little pump

I use regular 1/4" to extend water line, and 20gauge speaker wire to extend power to the pump,

rvitko's response, but saids the pump can only pump against 9-10ft of head and he recommends 16-22gauge.
"Yes, in fact I have soldered lengths of up to 25ft of 22gauge speaker wire on the unit and it still works."

so as long as you keep it under that head pressure, keep line low and run it into the sump, it will be fine.

I run mine 50' and the head is about 4' I bumped the voltage to 12V. Seems to work fine for me. I ran 1/4" polyethylene tubing from the garage to the sump in the stand. I used 14g speaker cable since I had it laying around.

How noisy is the pump when it runs?

How did you bump the voltage to 12V?

Actually, I do have the unit. One of the best products I have purchased for the tank! Overlooked the switch. Thanks!
