sturing up the substrate

I moved soem rocks around last night. my tank got very clowdy (as expected) and the dirt finally settled by the time I woke up this morning.

Will/could this throw off my water peramiters? Nitrates?

Well the best way to find out is to test your perimeters.

Probably not a big deal unless you dug real deep into a deep (3-4"+ sand bed).

probably a good thing to frequently stir your sand if you have a shallow sand bed to keep things clean.........

2-3 inches is kind of no-man's land -- hard to say without knowing the grain size of the sand and even then a guess as to whether or not you have anaerobic bacteria at the bottom...
