NO lighting
Hi. I'm setting up a saltwater fishtank and I'm on a budget, so I can't spend any money on expensive lighting. I'm setting up a 50 gallon and I think I can fit about 5, 36" flourescents on the hood. Of course, they'd have to be N.O. Do I get 6500K Daylight bulbs, 4100K Cool White bulbs, or a combination of both? I plan on starting out with just fish and Live rock, and eventually andding some mushrooms and corals with low lighting requirements. Thanks for your help.

I would go with the 6500k bulbs over the 4100k, but either will work fine for fish only. A nice VHO setup (2x95w) can be had for about $100 though if you want to keep corals.

Thanks for your reply. I was hoping to keep some mushrooms and corals with the N.O lighting setup. I've heard that it is possible. So would the Daylights still be better? BTW, I live in Costa Rica and finding lighting such as VHO is hard and the prices are usually prohibitive (for me, at least). Thanks again for your help.
