i was looking in my tank and i found a mushroom looking thing that moves like a jelly fish and moves on its own. it looks like it has some tentacles.its to small to take a picture of. is this a jelly fish? if so is it reef safe?

Can not say for sure, I have seen small jellies in reef tanks before. The ones I saw were less than 1/4 inch in diameter and propelled themselves through the water like their bigger brothers.

Does it look like this? If it does, it's a hydroid jellyfish and won't hurt a thing. They will go away in time.

Mine did'nt but yes I have seen the hydroids many times.
