Moving sand.

So I want to move the entire contents (except the water) over from my 15 gallon to a soon to be built 29gallon.

Is it safe and wise to move the sand, yes or no?

why would it not be safe?
unless it were terribly contaminated or ugly...

if its coming from a health aquarium it would be beneficial to use the sand
