Seio or Tunze Stream?

Hi, I am upgrading my (2) Seio 620's. I am debating weather to get a Stream or Seio. The flow comming out of the Seios were not as strong as I wanted. My tank is a 72g, soon to have alot of SPS, clams, and some lps. Which seio would you reccomend and how many? Or should I get a one Tunze Stream 6000 w/Controller?

Thanks.

If you have the money, I say go with the Tunze. But if cost is an issue, I think 2 seio 820's or 2 seio 1100's would do the trick.

I own both. Although they both move water, they really don't compare. The Seios are good power heads, but they really don't compare to a Tunze, especially the controllable Tunze. I own two Seio 820's, one 620, and a Tunze Stream 6000 with a single controller. The Tunze is simply the coolest aquarium device I've ever owned. Reliable, powerful, efficient, adjustable. It's so cool with the pulse action going on.

Of course, the cost is the big factor. If you can't justify the cost of the Tunze, the Seio's are good powerheads. They move a lot of water, and do it at a reasonable price. Some of the models (my 820 and 620) can be prone to not starting after being turned off, and sometimes just stopping for no reason though.

I am thinking about getting 2 1500's. Would that be too much flow for my tank? Also, would it disturb the sandbed?

If you can afford it get a Tunze if not you might want to consider modding your SEIO to get better flow.

Swapping out that "fancy" SEIO impeller with a regular RC boat propeller will increase the flow greatly.

OR... Get yourself a Maxijet and do this. Much better than SEIO's IMO.
