Well sooner or later you will need to get to the strainer to clean it etc. Might as well clear a path now!

well, you will have to force him out, dont worry about damaging it, they are fairly strong coral and can take a lot of abuse.

ok i got him. i got him out with the feeding probe then luckily the cleaner shrimp grabbed it and forced it under the rock where i poked it out and scooped it with a net.
so i grabbed some mr sticky glue and a tiny peice of live rock and stuck the zoo on the rock, its now in a cup of tank water until the glue dries, i dont want my fish picking at the glue while its still tacky they may get a glued mouth. do you think it will be ok in the cup until tomorrow? id rather not risk my inverts or fish because of glue |

yea, i have abused some zoas pretty bad...when I was fighting some of my zoas, and I got tired of dipping/perfecting the ph and everything. I would run them under semi-warm tap water direct from the faucet for 2min. Put them in the tank and they are growing happy today. I have abused them physicly by pulling them off rocks and stuff too and they seem to do fine. Just get some twezers and just grab it.

I have had zoos that I buried in the sand for a month and come out and look normal after being lit up fpr a few weeks. Quite hardy IMO.

I have also used a needle and fishing line with great success.
