Refugium unlit temporarily - effects?
I have a ball of chaeto in my sump that currently does not have a light. I'm planning on getting a light hooked up to do a reverse photoperiod, but I'm not sure how long it will be until i am going to have time to get around to it.
My question is what effect will this have? Will the chaeto die and release a ton of nutrients back into the tank? Any input is appreicated. |

leave the cheato out in the sun during the day in a bucket till you get a light for it....

You can usually get chaeto pretty easy from anyone in your local reef club, so I would just take it out until you are ready to light the refuge.

I would pull it out until you get lights.
