Ok to use Novus on inside of tank??

I just pulled the protective paper off my acrylic tank. The tank had been sitting in storage for about a year and removing the paper left a little residue on the acrylic. I used Novus 1 on the outside and it worked great. Is it okay to use Novus on the inside or will it kill my livestock?? Also, the Novus bottle says use a soft cloth. Does anyone make a special cloth for this purpose or should I just sacrifice on old T-shirt?

a tee shirt will work. the best cloth (IME) is a cloth diaper. nice thickness and doesn't stretch as much. Hard to find them anymore, though. (Pampers just don't work for this...)

FWIW when you wipe down the outside of the tank I found a product called Plexus. Its a spray on stuff that "coats" the acrylic to keep from scratching with a tericloth towl. I use a VERY nice soft tericloth to wipe down the outside of the tank. Spray the Plexus on the towl away from the tank. Great stuff. Makes the tank really slick and does not put fine scratches on the outside of the tank. i think it actually fills in the fine scratches that I had.

Check it out.

WHAT ARE YOU USING TO CLEAN YOUR TANK. DO YOU USE A MAGNETIC SCRAPER FOR ACRYLIC OR WILL THAT SCRATCH IT? I HAVE THE MAGNAVORE AND AM LOOKING INTO PURCHASEING A 300 GALLON ACRYLIC. MY CONCERN IS SCRATCHING THE ACRYLIC. MAGNAVORE HAS A KIT FOR ACRYLIC. WHAT DO YOU THINK?
