Changing out Metal halides w/o shocking corals

My bulbs are over a year old and Im changing all 3 (175watt) out, I will also be using a different spectrum, from 14k to reeflux 10k...my question is, how should i introduce these new bulbs without shocking my corals to the light...maybe replace 1 at a time for the next 2 weeks or so? or change all of them out and reduce the photoperiod for the next week or 2....not sure, help me out..

reduce the photoperiod and if possible, raise the lights a few inches (4-6) for a while so that you dont shock/burn the corals
