ASM/Euroreef owners: Where is your bubble line set at?

I am trying to see how high most people set the fine bubbles in their ASM/Euroreef skimmers. I had mine set to about 1 inch below the top of the collection cup but if I don't empty it often it would overflow and it always skimmed very wet.
I just lowered it to half way up the collection cup and will see how that does...
So where do you set your at?

There is a debate and personal preference about whether to skim wet or dry.

I'm middle of the road, er, cup. I have mine set about half way up the cup and clean it every couple days. It's never "liquidy".

That is where I ma going to try mine now. I have always skimmed wet thinking more stuff was reaching the cup and although it is less concentrated, alot of it would never have reached the cup had I been skimming dry, so it must be removing more junk. I am still not convinced that this is wrong....

If you still want to skim wet have you thought about putting a drain in your cup?

1/2 way up the cup on my G3 gives me about 3/4" of skimmate in the cup over three days that is fairly dark and a bunch of nasty mud caked on the top of the exiting tube. Once you get the level to where you want it with the gate valve, you wont have to mess with it much more (unless you like to constantly mess with things like me ).

Yeah I like that drain for the cup...my Aqua C has one and it is sweet. I think I will get one for my ASM as well.
Thanks for the link!
