best way to add sand to a bb tank???

what are some ways to add sand to a bb tank with fish inside??
do I have to get the fish out and the sand storm will not bother them...I have a 90g and I want around 4" of sand in the tank...

Just put some in a small container, bring it all the way to the bottom, and then slowly pour it onto the ground. That will minimize the "sand storm" affect if not eliminate it.

you can drop the sand in with a pvc pipe, put a funnel on one end, the other end on the tank bottom, then let it go in
