water flow; too little/too much
In my 29 gal, I have a Maxi-Jet 900, Maxi-Jet 600, and a Maxi-Jet 1200, the latter being part of a Aqua C Remora skimmer. In your opinion, is this enough water flow?
It seems good in most of the aquarium, but there are some fairly non-turbulent, calm areas, and I worry about detritus build up, as I have a very open rock structure. I have a Hagen 802 that is not being used, would it be overkill to replace one of my Maxi-Jets with it? |

the average is 10-30x turnover depending on what you are keeping in the tank then just placement of the powerheads so that you get good flow all over the tank.

The way it is now, the Maxi-Jet 900 is blowing across the back of the tank, and the Maxi-Jet 600 is on the other side blowing towards the front. The return from the skimmer is roughly in the middle of the back wall. Any suggestions on how to place these so there is better coverage?
