MRC Skimmer feedback needed!
Im thinking about a MRC MR1 skimmer. Can anyone comment on its performance as well as noise? Would it be too noisy if housed in a cabinet in the living room?

probably alittle noisy for under cabinet, but worth it for the performance. I have my MRC-2 in my basement so it can make all the noise it wants.........

they are noisy
the MRC skimmers are noisy and they require a big pressure rated pump to ge them going, deffinitley will get a bigger electric bill, and if it was in my living room, no way. I would go with a needle wheel, way more energy efficient, and you only get a small hum from the pumps. If the skimmer was not in your living room, I would say beckett all the way, there skimmers are hard to beat, becasue they can process a lot of water.
