Shhhhhh!!! Quiet Parts Needed...

Is there a truly quiet air pump that doesn't vibrate for a reasonable amount of money??

The loudest item on my whole setup is the darn air pump, I'm using an Elite802 which is a good pump, but like all diaphram pumps it vibrates and makes noise.

I'd like to have a completely quiet tank if that's possible...

Cheers

I never found one... for something reasonable..

Try using a mouse pad or something to dampen the vibrations.

I have three Mag Drives of different sizes. Two are in my reef's sump and one is dry-plumbed for a CO2 unit on a planted freshwater tank. They're all in the same room and they've been going for a minimum of over two years, and one's been going for four years. All are literally silent and have been all along. I know some people find them "noisy" but I just don't have that problem with them.

Try Rena-Air or the NEW whisper pumps, which are raised up on rubber feet.

I use the rena myself for hatching brine shrimp and it is quiet,k and people have bought the whisper from the fish store i work at and they said it is very quiet.
