uv strerilizers

i am new to the hobby tank 2 months old and wanted to know how many people use a uv sterilizer on there tank thanks.

There are quite a few that run one, but the ones that do dont primarily use it for disease control.
It will not get rid of a disease but will help keep it in some sort of control.
They can be great to have also for better water clarity.

I had purchased one when new to the hobby and was losing fish, and now it sits on a shelf in the garage. Purchased a QT and treat newcomers with great success ever since.

No one else out there has any thoughts on using a uv sterilizer in thier system? thanks
