the absolute best chiller hands down!

who makes the very best chiller? i need to know opinions on what is the very best, reliable and long lived chiller on the market. do not even bother posting about the coralife or via aqua chillers as they have both proved to be a little flaky.

if this is the wrong place to post i apologize and please move it to the right forum. thanx.

I have had years of experience with JBJ Artica chillers. They are very very quiet and fairly efficient for the larger models. PCI also supposedly makes good chillers as I know of several people that are satisfied with them, 1 of which has been running 7-8 years.

What size tank is this going on?

I've had my artica 1/4 hp chiller for about 3 months, and i love it. i used to have huge fluxes in temp when the lights popped on, but now it holds steady, and its pretty quiet (i have it near my living room and its not distracting).

just bought a 1\4 current tower chiller, the one set up at one of the LFS sold me, very quiet chiller and not a space hog, they come in 1\4hp and 1\3, very impressed.

1/3hp on a 90g? How many degrees are you needing to pull down?

I like the PCI chillers, very good quality and the company stands behind their products. Plus they look nice if they are outside of your stand.
