Ick???
I have posted this before but never got a good anwer.
A few nights ago I was working late and looked in on my tank. My regal had some white specks. AHH!! ICK!! He was crammed in "his hole" but definately had some white specks on his tail and body. Panic--How do I catch him?? How do I treat him?? Will he contaminate the rest of my fish?? I have had him for years!! Well it was late so nothing I could do--- Q-tank not set up, ect. Well next morning during "feeding time" here he come out---CLEAN AS CAN BE!!! Was I dreaming it?? I have seen this on my pruple tang too. Was it ICK?? Did it just go away?? |

I have had "ick panic" a few times when a fish just had some air bubbles clinging to them. For future reference, the ick treatment I use is Kent Garlic Extreme and Kent Coral Vital added to the tank water twice a day.

Do you possibly have any cleaner shrimp in your tank? They can clean off a few spots from the fish over night.
