i need plumbing help!!!

i got the threaded ball valve and i can't seem to fully twist the adapter all the way in. i was wondering if it was okay and just leave as that or is there something i could do to it to make it easier to twist in.

Use teflon tape on the threads and thghten as far as you can get it with a pliers or wrench. Dont get it so tight you crack the fitting. even after it is tight there may be some threads exposed.
