Should I Run My Lighting 24 Hrs A Day?
I M NEW TO THIS HOBBY. I REALLY ENJOY IT SO FAR. I WAS WONDERING. SHOULD I RUN MY 260 WATT PC 24HRS A DAY. ALSO IT HAS THE 3 CORDS. WHAT CAN I GET FOR A TIMER. PLEASE LET ME KNOW. ALSO THANKS GUYS FOR ALL THE HELP

You'll get a lot of heat buildup that way: run it about 9 to 12 hours, max, for the health of your tank: you can set it for when you'll enjoy it most, not according to the sun's time. A timer from the hardware store should work just fine.

A lot of animals need a definite light-dark cycle, so I wouldn't light a display tank 24 hours a day. A refugium can often be lighted that way, though.
