Any pictures of what you are refering to?
Sounds like you may have a preditor in your tank.
Give us some specks on your tank and how you acclimated them to your tank

Well I would take actions to save the rics now. With a sharp knife or a razor try to cut away the healthy areas in small pie shaped chunks. Some use sharp scissors.

Take the healthy pieces and lay them on a flat rock. They can shrivel up alot at this pount. You will then need to find a net with a large enough mesh to allow light to pass through but not too large so that the ric pieces could unattatch. With some rubber bands adhere the mesh over the rock and rics to hold down the pieces. After a few weeks or so the rics should attatch and begin to take shape.

The reason I recommend you do this now is there may be a good chance that the rics may detatch and beging drifting about your tank. If all works out you will have a rock with more rics than before.

Be prepared though as it is a slippery job. A tweezer comes in pretty handy.

Thanks for the information on the ricordia. It just seems they are dying one by one. Although there are some real nice rics that are doing great. I don't know if it's a preditor as I have no fish and I only have a few hermits and they are real small as well as the rics are in a tuperware container with rubble and mess over them as they were loose when I got them. Thanks for the help so far but I still don't understand the problem at hand. Thanks
