Question about sps corals
I have a 72 gallon bow front with power compact 2-65watt actinic and 2-65watt 12,000k bulbs 260watt total. I don't really have much of anything in my tank currently and have the ability to get them pretty high in the tank. Could anyone direct me to a thread or list of SPS corals that would be considered easy to moderate to take care of and something that would do fine under these lights?
Thanks! Last edited by Reggae Fish; 03/19/2006 at 11:03 PM. |

TBO, i do not think any SPS will do good under that lighting, they may survive for a while, but definitely will not thrive.

I personally think you should be able to keep montipora cap coral and montipora digitata coral just fine. I am keeping those with good growth in a 15 gallon with 2*55W PC.
It is NOT the W/G that matters, it is the amount of light where the corals sit, if they are at the top directally under the lights they should get more light then the ones in my 15 get. Whiskey
