Question Microscope features?

Can someone advise what features and power for a microscope purchase to be used in this hobby. I am interested in viewing organisms collected from my reef tank.

I would get one that is parfocal and parcentric. I primarily prefer compound microscopes (can get pricey) over dissecting. I would also look for one that gets up to 400x magnification (or higher if you want to look at bacteria and really tiny stuff), but 100x will still allow you to see some cool things.
