the ph in my 55 gallon aquarium is always 8.0 o 8.1. i want to get it up around 8.3, but what is a good way to do this?and i also need to add calcium to the water.
is kalkwasser good? what about liquid additives like kent? or that fiji gold stuff? what do you recommend? i cant afford a calcium reactor. |

Personally, I use limewater (kalkwasser) because it's inexpensive and helps keep the pH up. B-Ionic also works pretty well, IME, but isn't quite as good at regulating pH, although I didn't use a continuous drip doser.

Aerating your water to get rid of CO2 can prove helpfull in raising PH.
