20,000K 150W MH setup for acropora
Hey, guys
The life of MH bulbs (Corallife 10,000K 150W DE bulb) is almost gone. So, I'm thinking about bulb replacement. I don't like the color of 10,000K. However, I'm not sure 15,000K or 20,000K DE bulb can provide enough light for most of acroporas. Does anyone use them for sps tank? Now, I have 60 gallon tank(48"x15"x18") and 2x150W MH, 2x96W actinic blue light.

lots of people use 14k an 15k bulbs to keep SPS. they are the best bet IMO - you get a good balance between coral growth and coral color. definitely look better than a 10k bulb.

The problem I'm considering is that I have 150W instead of 250 or 400W. Also, 15,000 or 20,000K is much weaker than 10,000K as I heard.
