copepods or isopods in my tank?

hey everyone my tank is full of isopods They have the exact same appearance but most of them have what seems to be a LONG TAIL which can be about 4-8x their body length. My question is.... is it a tail? and DO mandarins eat isopods as well? I dont seem to see any copepods right now

A picture might help. I'm not sure what animals you might have.

I've had those (like the one pictured above) in my tank. This type of isopod is not a predator. My scooter blenny gobbles them up quicker than you can say snack time!
