a couple questions about cycling

getting ready to buy some cured live rock from the LFS and have a few questions.

1. should i run my lights during the cycle? the rock is fully cured and will only be out of the water about 30 minutes, so the cycle should be short. lighting will be 2x175watt coralvue 10k metal halides and 4x95watt VHO actinics. if i should run my lights, how long should i run them? my lighting cycle when i start adding corals in a few months will 10 hours of metal halides and 12 hours of actinics. how does this sound?

2. im going to run 2 icecap fans in the canopy, should i have both fans blowing in? the back is going to be open, with light diffuser ( egg crate ) on the back, so air should be able to escape out the back.

i have all ways had to cycle my rock but i ran the lights for 4 hours the first few weeks and 6 the last week, my light cycle is actinics 12hrs mh 8hrs, 10 hrs may be too much,

my fans are 1 in 1 out but i dont have a open back, i would try a couple ways to see which has the most flow
