Spec Gravity during cycle???

My sg is at about 1.021 right now. im about 2 weeks into my cycle
hair algee is starting to grow. And im starting to look at cleanup crew. i noticed that most crews sg rated between 1.023-1.025
can i raise my sg in a week or two (water change) prior to puting a crew in. or will it cause problems. Or changes in the cycle process.
Hope this makes sense.
Thanks

I don't believe that changing the SG will affect the cycle. I would def. bring it up prior to putting in the crew.

You should shoot for 1.025 - 1.026 especially if you want to keep corals down the road. and remember like temp it is good to keep it constant no matter what you have it at.

You can raise the salinity without any problems in one water change. The differnce isnt much so you wont kill anything.
But I wouldnt add a cleanup crew until the cycle is over for atleast a week to make sure the levels dont decide to go back up.
To help with the algae cut back on lighting or dont have it on during the cycle.

Stability is the key, I would raise it up now before any livestock was added, it will not effect the cycle
