I have a Mag 9.5 as my main return pump -- very quiet, and it's been running almost a year with no problems. Also have a Mag 7 as a topoff pump (from the basement) -- no problems there, either. Danner Supreme is what I'm using -- I think they are what most people are referring to when they talk about a "Mag" pump.

HTH.

Mine has been a good pump. I use it as my main return and I have it plumbed into a SCWD which reduces the output, but the wave action benefit is greater IMO. I have had to replace the impeller once, it became "jammed" with deposits. Soaking it in vinegar eats away the deposits, so now I switch the impeller ever 6 months or so and soak the "old" one. Other than that, it has been a great pump.
