Miracle mud leaking iron??
Hello,
Anyone ever heard of MM causing an algea outbreak?. I've been having an algea outbreak for some months now. It's some kind of slime, they do not appear to be cyno or dynos. I will try to post a picture tomorrow. Water parameters appear to be in check. 80 gallon tank (BB), 7 gallon refugium (2" oolitic, 10lb Miracle Mud) 10 gallon sump. Water flows from tank to sump Mag 12 sends most of the return to the refugium which then flows to tank (gravity). Presently have caulerpa and cheto in refugium. I have not had any problems with caulerpa dying (turning white). Refugium is lit by a home florescent bulb. I think it's about 40 watts but output is equal to about 75. Lights are on 24/7. Phosphate and Nitrate = 0 (salifert) calc 400 - 420 dkh 8 -9 mag approx 1250 temp stable at 79-81 salinity 1.026 Lights are about a month old (250 watt x2 10k and 2 110w. vho actinic) Calc reactor Top off with kalk (still reservoir) Salt TMPro thanks, Albert |
