Lots of people use it. I don't see any particular advantage to it, and it's rather expensive.

I am using it in my fuge but I cant really say its anything special. It sure was a mess getting it in there. Having to do it over again I would probobly go with LS.

I'm using it. I really couldn't say for sure whether or not it's doing anything, but no problems have arisen. Definately pricey though.

If all is as planed I should be setting up a CPR AquaFuge 24 with it, with in the week...
Other people try it so WTH
As mentioned others use LS, Rock Rubble, or no substrate at all (mo' room for macro)

Sand in the fuge is to simulate a DSB for your tank, with out putting 4" of sand IN your tank...

I got some for free and the thought of the mess while putting it in my fuge has turned me away from using it.
