data collection: what are your skimmer's "reaction chamber" height?

i am trying to create an accurate table showing the reaction chamber size for each skimmer, at least the good ones, to give a clear figure that would help determine performance as well as a true comparison between brands.

since many of the comparable skimmers will use the same or similar pump, the main difference regarding performance will reside in the difference in the size of the skimmer chamber; especially since the pupm can be upgraded.

the formula used to find a given volume of a skimmers reaction chamber is (pi)(r*r)*height.

i thought i had it solved, but unfortunately, i created a table using the skimmers total height. so although the numbers are inaccurate, they shouldnt be far off (at least in relative terms), as the skimmer cup and funnel sizes are very similar between skimmers.

eventhough this does give a reasonable estimate, id prefer to have exact numbers.

all i need is a single measurement of the height of the chamber per skimmer. so just reply with your skimmer model, pump, and the height of its chamber (from the bottom of the skimmer to where the funnel begins).

thanks

no one?

c'mon, get that trusty ruler out. the data may help in determining the cost ratio for a given skimmer line, and thus make us more able to spend the money where it is better utilized.
