Question best test kit other than salifert

hi, when my 20g nano is up, i will obviously need test kits. i will have a salifert Nitrate and pH test kits, but for the rest of the shabang, what else could i get by with?

Current Tank Info: 20g L display: 2x65watt Coralife light, Octopus 150 needle wheel protein skimmer, 1 Koralia 2 and 2 powersweeps, and a DIY sump/fuge.....120G in the works!!!

You will need tests for alk, cal, and if this is going to be a reef you may want to test for mag and maybe even phosphates. Another good test kit is SeaChem. I use them and they work pretty good.

I used Salifert and hated them with a passion (too damned difficult to read). I currently use seachem and love them (except for the ammonia - it sucks).

ok. my one problem with salifert so far is the price tag. for all the test kits i need it will cost me another 100$ roughly. i just can't afford that. what about red sea? are they any good?

Red Sea sucks!!! Don't use that type of test kit. They don't give good enough readings.

Seachem is your second best option IMO.
