Marine Biology Schools

I don't know if there are any marine biologists out there, but I am a Junior in High School, and I am thinking about which colleges to go to. I am interested in a marine biology program, and I was wondering if anyone out there knew of any good schools to look into.
Thanks

I remember when zoanthids were called things like "green" and "orange" and not "reverse gorilla nipple."

Current Tank Info: 180g reef with all the bells and whistles

Auburn has a good marine biology program? Wow i did not know that and i am a student there. Always thought it was merely average. Glad to see the that little village on the plains mentioned though =).

where do you live, i suggest not going far from home, im at college now doing an environmental science major with marine science as my concentration. I would of done marine biology but a lot of people have told me it ends up being a dead end job. Envir Sci however is very similar but people e-mail me for jobs and im only going to be a junior next year. I live in CT and go to UCONN, but i don't go to avery point, Avery point offers quite a good marine biology. I suggest looking into environmental science, it's quite an awesome major that offers more variety giving u more opportunity

no offense to the marine biology majors or anything. You guys probably know much more marine information than most of the people in the program anyway. How many people do you see that just want to play with dolphins and whales. Who loves a marine animal that leaves the ocean then decides to come crawling back, ha! In my book i call that cheating evolution. Meanwhile fish are working their butt off just developing swim badders

sorry, i was half asleep when i was typing, didn't make much sense to me either. I think my point was the majority of marine biology majors are into the mammals rather than all the cool stuff in the ocean that we put in our aquariums. I have also meant a lot of people that got the degree then went back to school to get a degree in something else because they couldn't find a job. But these are people much older. Hopefully marine biology and marine science will become a more needed field and be funded much more, i think it already is though.
