Slim In Top Off Storage Container

Does anyone have this problem with the storage container that holds the RO/DI water for top-off. I been using a 10 gallons tank and just switch to a 15 gallons tank. The empty 10 gallons tank was full of clear slim on the glass walls. Any suggestions how to prevent this? Would this slim have any effect the RO/DI water?
