Calcium reactor feeding refugium ?
I am designing a sump with refugium for a 165g tank. I want to feed my refugium with the output of my calcium reactor. I would like advice as to where in my refugium I should feed the calcium reactor output (above surface, below surface, bottom of refugium) ?

I dont think that its a good idea. The output of the calcium reactor is low PH and it can harm the live in the refugium.

I would think that as long as you have it in an area w/ some flow, you'd be fine.

My main concern is to do with pressure. Having never had a calcium reactor before, I wonder how much pressure comes out of it. If it is being fed into the bottom of the refugium, will that slow down the production of the reactor because of increased output pressure ? What about the low PH comment from a previous post. Is anyone feeding the outup of their calcium reactor to a refugium ? Is that a good idea ? I figure that any residual CO2 would be great for the macro algae.

Mine drips, from about 4 inches above the generally area for the skimmer intake. You don't want the effuent delivered underwater.

Thanks Mikeatjac. Do you see a problem in dripping it into a fuge instead of skimmer section ?
