Which metal halide bulb do you use?

I just purchased my first metal hilde unit for my reef tank, and was curouis what everyone thinks is the best bulb for fast coraline growth. I was think running a 14,000K 175W. Just wondering what others run...

XM 250w 10k's and 20k's. I had an Iwasaki 6700k on an old grow out tank and although it was yellowish, the corals grew very well!!!

Can I run those Aqualine 250 watt SE 10k bulbs on m58 magnetic ballast? They say probe start only. A m58 is a probe start? Anyone know?

Jay

Aqualine are pulse start, M58 is probe start, sometimes they will work but it's not recomended.

I have a couple of the Reefmax 175w 10,000k bulbs. I haven't used them yet but I've heard good things. For $32 each, I can't complain

http://www.reefmax.com/knowlet/knowl...TOKEN=73984141

He also sells them on ebay.
