fish died, and is out of reach, but i can see my hermits eating him do i remove him?

so my yellow watchman who is pretty tiny, died, for reasons i am unsure of.

he is being eatin behind my rocks right now by some hermits and my cleaner shrimp.

shouldi move rocks to get him out? or should i just let them eat him?

its a 20 gallon tank btw. im thinkin let them eat for a little while and if they havent made a vast improvement in an hour or so then to take him out. i just did a 5 gallon water change yesterday and put in new carbon.

let them feast and find out if its a water param issue that cuased the Yellow watchman to die.

I guess most people would say remove the dead fish as soon as possible because it might have some type of disease that can spread and kill other fish in your tank. This depends on how long you have had the fish for.

If i just get a fish and it dies a couple days later i do my best to remove it. If its a fish that dies after a few months its most likely not disease related and i let my other fish and cleanup crew have an extra meal.

and looked really healthy, then came out of his hole yesterday and he looked drunk.... then i saw him today dead being eatin

i wouldnt try to hard to get him... he will be gone by tommorrow. i doubt it will effect your water quality after a day or so..

How much water is your system? I'd think you'd kick up more nitrate by upsetting your substrate than that little fish would create. It's probably no different then throwing a shrimp for the meat eaters to eat.

Just like everyone had stated, let them feast on him and if you can get him in couple of days, then do so. If not, then... well... it's okay. I've had the same instantances a few times and didn't really affect my water parameters.
